Alfred J. Vetter, age 77 of Bergenfield, formerly of Teaneck, passed away peacefully on June 12, 2010. Before retiring, Al worked for the Ford Motor Company in Mahwah for 35 years and the County of Bergen for 20 years. He was a lifetime and devoted member of St. Mark's Episcopal Church in Teaneck, a former member of the Teaneck Auxiliary Police, Bergenfield Republican Club and Teaneck Camera Club. Al also enjoyed volunteering at Hackensack University Medical Center and going to the Bergenfield Senior Citizens before he became ill. He was the dear brother of Betty Hendrie and the late Marion Smith. Loving uncle of niece BethAnne Russo and husband Joseph Russo, nephews Robert Hendrie, William Smith and wife Anna Smith and Charles Smith. Cherished great uncle to Natalie Pierro, Robert Russo and William Smith. Caring great-great uncle to Brianna, Carlee, Alyssa, Jake, Nicole, Dylan and Isabella. Visiting on Tuesday 2-4 and 7-9PM at Riewerts Memorial Home, 187 So. Washington Ave., Bergenfield, NJ. All will meet at St. Mark's Episcopal Church, 118 Chadwick Rd., Teaneck, NJ on Wednesday at 9:15AM for the service at 9:30AM. Interment Hackensack Cemetery, Hackensack, NJ.
