Alice Howard

Howard, Alice (nee Burke)on May 24, 2004 of Bergenfield, NJ formerly Bronx, NY. Daughter of the late Regina and the late Wilfred, devoted wife of the late John Howard (1976). Alice leaves her loving children Patricia Newman, John and Mary Howard, Robert and Janet Howard, James and Patricia Howard, Thomas and Mary Ellen Howard, William and Ruth Howard and Adolph and Alice Valverdi. Alice also leaves a legacy of 16 grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren who love her because of her warm and generous heart. Alice also leaves her cherished sister Winnie McGivney and brother Edward Burke and lifelong friends Paul and Flo Chaleff. Alice was happiest when the families were together, enjoying the laughter that flowed so easily among her "clan". She will never cease to be cherished and she will always be missed by all. The funeral will leave Riewerts Memorial Home Inc. 187 So. Washington Ave. Bergenfield, NJ on Thursday at 10:30AM for the Funeral Liturgy at St. John's R.C. Church, Bergenfield, NJ at 11:00AM. Interment George Washington Memorial Park, Paramus, NJ. The family will receive friends Wednesday 2-4 and 7-9 PM. Donations to the American Lung Association or The Hospice Program at Holy Name Hospital.
