Alice C. Spano

Alice C. Spano of Bergenfield passed away on April 1, 2014. She was a resident of Bergenfield for 60 years. Met her beloved husband the late John at the US) in Black River, NY during World War II and they were married for 61 years. Cherished mother of Jack (Meredith) and Dennis (Catherine). Loving grandmother of Robert and Melissa and great grandmother of Christopher. Dear sister of the late Helen, Francis and Donovan. She was a member of the Rosary Society in St john's R.C. Church for over 50 years. Alice will be missed by her family, friends, and all that knew her. Visiting at Riewerts Memorial Home, 187 So. Washington Ave., Bergenfield on Thursday 2-4 and 7-9 PM. Funeral service at the funeral home on Friday at 10:30 AM. Entombment Garden of Memories Mausoleum in Washington Township. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the NJ Veterans Home Welfare Fund.
