Anna “Cookie” Ramirez of Bergenfield, New Jersey passed peacefully on March 8, 2025 at the age of 82, leaving behind a legacy that will be cherished by all who knew her.
She was a loving sister to her brother Edgar Munoz, and a devoted mother to her children Richard, Thomas, Elizabeth, and Paul. Anna's spirit remains a beacon for her children. Her legacy continues through her grandchildren Joseph, Michael, Rachel, Robert, Alexis, Carmen Anita, Joel, Ivy, and Jolie and her great-grandchildren, Xadie and Xylie.
Cookie’s spirit resignated throughout the community she represented and served unselfishly. Her passion to serve her community was without boundaries and diverse. She was Councilwoman in Bergenfield for many years faithfully serving the members of the community and a long-time parishioner of St. John The Evangelist. Cookie was a dedicated Director of the Bergenfield Senior Center for over a quarter of a century. One of her proudest accomplishments was one of the founders of The Spanish American Cultural Association where she served as one of the President’s.
To celebrate Anna's deeply impactful life, funeral services will take place at Riewerts Funeral Home on March 13, 2025. Those who admired Anna can gather from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM. On March 14, 2025, a Mass in her honor will commence at 10:00 AM at St. John The Evangelist, concluded by a burial service at Fair Lawn Memorial Cemetery.
