Anne Joyce Boas

Anne Joyce Scott Boas, 82, of Maywood NJ, passed peacefully on Thursday September 28th, 2023. Anne was born in Nyack, NY on November 30th, 1940 to Ichabod Scott and Jeannie Taylor Scott. She was the youngest of seven siblings; Ichabod (Bub), Marilyn, Douglas, Gerrard (Jad), Mary Jane and Donald. She is survived by her brother J. Donald Scott, her children, Robert, Susan, Thomas, Greg and their Dad, Robert E. Boas, Susan’s partner Steve, Thomas’ partner Patti, Greg’s partner Jimmy, and her four grandchildren: Dominick, Abigail, Danté and Olivia. 

Anne Joyce could light up a room with her kind smile and was known by all to have a sweet disposition and a caring heart. She was passionate about her job as Teacher’s Aid in Roy W. Brown Middle School in Bergenfield, NJ. There, she helped supported students navigate classes and school work. After retiring, she was an avid reader, loved gardening and enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. She had a quick wit and could always get a laugh while dropping a great one liner. She will be missed by everyone who knew her.

Visiting will be held Sunday October 1st from 2-4pm and 6-8pm with a funeral service at the funeral home at 7:30pm.
