Marsilio, Anthony John, 80, on May 22, 2007. Born on September 6, 1926 he was a lifelong resident of Bergenfield, NJ. Surviving are his beloved wife Emily (nee Tarantino), fifteen children, who loved him dearly: Helen, Linda, Judy, Patricia, John, Mary, Peter, Anthony, George, Anne, Edward, Emily, Joseph, Thomas and Angela and their spouses, he is Poppy to twenty-six grandchildren, also his sister Mildred and many cherished nieces and nephews and predeceased by his two sisters, Lucy and Mary. A strong community commitment, he enlisted in the Navy at age 17 and served in the Pacific during WW II. He was an active member in the American Legion and the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 0078, Englewood, as the United States LST Association. He was a Claims Approver for Metropolitan Life Insurance Company on Madison Avenue, NYC for 35 years. Anthony loved to sing, listen to music and dance. He was a long time member of St. John the Evangelist Church choir, a member of the Gadfly acting troupe, the Order of Sons of Italy and was active in the Bergenfield Senior Citizens Club. An avid gardener, he was skilled in cultivation of family, friends, community and flowers. The funeral will leave Riewerts Memorial Home Inc. 187 So. Washington Ave. Bergenfield, NJ on Friday at 9:30 AM for the Funeral Liturgy at St. John the Evangelist R.C. Church, Bergenfield, NJ at 10 AM. Interment St. Joseph's Cemetery, Hackensack, NJ. The family will receive friends Thursday 5-9 pm
