Carmine Amatucci

Amatucci, Carmine, 87, on July 30, 2008 of Bergenfield. Carmine was a supervisor and foreman for Kreisler Manufacturing, No. Bergen. He was a parishioner of St. Therese R.C. Church and an honorary member of the K of C Council 7647 both of Cresskill. He was an Army Veteran of WWII and member of the Bergenfield Memorial Post #6467 V.F.W. Carmine was the 1995 "Volunteer of the Year" at St. Maximilian Kolbe Church, Toms River. He also received the honored title of Companion of Saint Ignatius Loyola in recognition of 35 years of three day retreats at Loyola Retreat House, Morristown. Beloved husband of Mary Amatucci (nee: D'Esposito). Devoted father of Bernadette Hopkins and her husband Eugene, Maria Ekiert and her husband Walter, Thomas Amatucci and his wife Laurie and Frank Amatucci and his wife Theresa. Loving brother of Rose Lopardo, Angela Lau, Gabriel Amatucci, the late Mildred D'Amato, Maryann, Angelo and Frank Amatucci. Cherished grandfather of Marianne Wood, Eugenia Campbell, Frank Carmine Amatucci, Jaimie, Tara and Allison Ekiert. He is survived and loved by many family, nieces, nephews and friends. The funeral will leave Riewerts Memorial Home, 187 So. Washington Ave. Bergenfield on Saturday at 9:00 AM for the Funeral Mass at St. Therese R.C. Church, Cresskill at 9:30 AM. Entombment Holy Cross Cemetery, No. Arlington. Visiting Friday 2-4 and 7-9 PM. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Alzheimer's Association, Greater New Jersey Chapter, 400 Morris Ave., Suite 251, Denville, NJ 07834-1365.
