Caroline Donohue

Caroline Donohue, 98, died April 17, 2011, with her family by her side. A memorial service will be held at 6 PM Wednesday, April 20, 2011 at the Cresskill Congregational Church on Union Avenue. She was born August 20, 1912, in New York City. She moved to Cresskill with her husband Thomas and their children in 1944. After retiring she and her husband spent their summers in Montauk, NY and winters in Zephyrhills, FL. She was a long time active member of the Cresskill Congregational Church, belonged to the church's FWG group and other local organizations. Her interests included family, fishing, gardening, travelling, animals and wild life, dancing, beach combing and reading. Caroline is survived by her daughter Elaine, son Warren and his wife, grandchildren Lisa, Sarah, Claire, Hillary and their spouses, great-grandchildren East, Nicholas, Makenna, Michael, Melanie and Evan, niece Barbara and her husband Skip. She was preceded in death by her husband Thomas, 5 brothers and 3 sisters and son in law. Arrangements are by Riewerts Memorial Home, Bergenfield. Memorial Service at Cresskill Congregational Church Wednesday at 6PM.
