Charles C. Klein Sr

KLEIN, CHARLES C., Sr. 79, of Bergenfield, NJ on 12-07-2011. Beloved husband of the late Rosemary V. (August 13, 2011) for 52 years. Born on Christmas Day 1931 to Anna and John J. Klein, Sr. and raised in Jersey City, NJ. Predeceased by brother Jack, sisters Imelda Orzechowski, sister Loretta Olsen, and their husbands Tom and Eddie; also by daughter Margaret (2010). Survived by Anne Marie, Charles C. Jr., John J., Patricia Ann Klein and Mary E., Jeffry, and Jeffry Jr. Fox of Teaneck. Also survived by sister Lucille Klein of Jersey City, NJ and sister Mary Flannery and husband Jack of Tinton Falls, NJ along with many nieces and nephews. Charles graduated Sacred Heart School in 1945 and Snyder High School in 1949. Proudly served in the United States Marine Corps (1951 to 1954) with the 1st Marine Division in Korea from 1951 through 1952. Worked for H.W. Kerr and Son, Teaneck, NJ from 1955 to 1979; then for Johnson and Son in Bergenfield, NJ from 1979 to 1997 and as a borough crossing guard from 1997 to 2000. He was a former member of the Alert Fire Company in Bergenfield, NJ during the 1960's. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to the Alzheimer's Association in memory of Rosemary or St. Jude's Children's Hospital or Bergenfield Volunteer Ambulance Corps or Wounded Marine Semper Fi Fund in Oceanside, CA or any other veteran's association. Visiting will be Friday 5-9PM. All will gather at Riewerts Memorial Home, 187 So. Washington Ave. Bergenfield on Saturday at 9AM for the Funeral Mass at St. John the Evangelist R.C. Church, Bergenfield at 10AM. Burial will follow at Holy Name Cemetery, Jersey City, NJ. "Semper Fi" and "God Bless America"
