Connor G. Walsh

WALSH, Connor G. 23 died unexpectedly in New Milford on Jan 5, 2017. Beloved son of William and Alice Walsh (nee Gorczycki). Devoted grandson of the late Mary and William Walsh as well as the late Sophie and Edmund Gorczycki. Dear nephew to many aunts and uncles. Dear cousin to Megan, Michael, Matthew, Ryan, Kaely, Alexa and Cory and great-nephew and great-cousin to many. A 2008 graduate of St. Joseph's School, Oradell and 2012 graduate of Don Bosco Prep, Ramsey, Connor was an Eagle Scout, EMT, certified 911 NECI and EMD Dispatcher. He had an Associate's degree in Homeland Security and wanted to pursue a career in law enforcement. He was an avid outdoorsman and he enjoyed football, wrestling, baseball and was a car enthusiast. He also devoted many hours of service to his local community. Most of all, Connor cherished his most faithful dog companion, Casey who predeceased him earlier last year. Connor will always be remembered for his fun-loving personality, beautiful smile, genuine ability to make others laugh and his extraordinary impact on others. Connor was a proud organ donor. Our son is a super hero! We find comfort and solace knowing that he lives on thru others. In lieu of flowers, a scholarship fund has been established in his memory: Connor G. Walsh Memorial Scholarship Fund c/o St. Joseph's School, 305 Elm Street, Oradell, NJ 07649. Wake will be held 3-8 pm on Wednesday, Jan 11, at Riewerts Memorial Home, 187 S. Washington Avenue, Bergenfield and a celebration of his life at St. Joseph's Church, Oradell at 10:30 am on Thursday, Jan 12.
