Desmond A. Sanford, 69, on May 25, 2008 of Englewood. Born in Jamaica, West Indies, he was a Draftsman/Architect for Gibbs & Hill, New York, NY retiring in 1989. Beloved husband of Sylvania Sanford (nee Henry). Devoted father of Antoinette Redmond and step father of Richard Powell. Dear brother of Gloria Reynolds, Raphaelita Rowe, Bernice (Calvin) Gardner, Yvonne Grandison, Jennifer, Hugh and Hansel Sanford. Loving grandfather of 4 grandchildren. Also survived by his niece Vinnell Williams and nieces and nephews and grand nieces and nephews. Funeral service at First United Methodist Church, 128 W. Demarest Ave., Englewood on Saturday at 10 AM. Interment Geo. Washington Memorial Park, Paramus. The family will receive friends on Friday 2-4 and 7-9PM at Riewerts Memorial Home, 187 So. Washington Ave., Bergenfield.
