Dorothy Carlson

Dorothy O. Carlson “Dottie” (nee Tenny) of Old Bridge formerly a longtime resident of Dumont entered into eternal rest to the loving arms of our heavenly Father on January 22, 2021. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and a member of Calvary United Methodist Church in Dumont. She was born June 8, 1929 to the late Ida and Abdul Tenny and predeceased by her husband Clayton A. Carlson. Surviving are her children Lynda & husband Thomas Funk of Lake Ariel, Pa., Donna & husband David Swineford of South River, NJ, Gary Carlson & wife Carol of Hightstown, NJ and Douglas Carlson & fiancée Jeanne Lehmphul of Newburgh, NY. Grandchildren Robert Funk, Daniel Funk & wife Carolina, Laurie (nee Swineford) & husband Kellan Thompson, Nicholas Swineford & wife Annabelle, Charlene (nee Carlson) & husband Steven DiDonato, Kenneth Carlson & wife Pachi, Tyler Carlson and Trevor Carlson. Great-Grandchildren Leah & Ryan Swineford and Wesley DiDonato. Private burial at George Washington Memorial Park in Paramus NJ. A Memorial Service will be announced at a future date. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to Calvary United Methodist Church (CUMC), 185 West Madison Ave., Dumont, NJ 07628 noted Carlson memorial.
