Elsie M. Runckel

Runckel, Elsie M. (nee Strub), 88, on August 29, 2008 of Bergenfield. Born in College Point, NY, she was a Sales Clerk for Macy's in Paramus retiring in 1984. She was a member of the Priscilla Guild of St. Matthew's Lutheran Church, the Friends of the Bergenfield Library, St. John's Senior Citizens, Bergenfield Sunshine Club and the AARP. Beloved wife of the late Louis E. Runckel. Devoted mother of Marjorie A.(and her husband Richard) Sharp and Robert E.(and his wife Deborah) Runckel. Loving grandmother of Susan, Jeffrey and Steven Sharp. Also numerous nieces and nephews. The funeral will leave Riewerts Memorial Home, 187 So. Washington Ave. Bergenfield on Tuesday at 9:30AM for the Funeral Service at St. Matthew's Lutheran Church, Bergenfield at 10AM. Interment Hackensack Cemetery . Visiting Monday 2-4 and 7-9 PM.
