Frank A. Ryder, 66, of Bergenfield passed away Tuesday, September 29th, his 36th wedding anniversary with wife Eileen, after an eight-month battle with lung cancer. Born in Queens, N.Y. and raised in Dumont N.J., he was a 31-year resident of Bergenfield and a self employed ceramic tile contractor. Frank received his B.S. and M.B.A. in Business Finance from Fairleigh Dickinson University. He was a member of the Elks Lodge #2593 in Dumont. Frank is survived by his wife, Eileen, and daughters Lisa and Erin; granddaughter Olivia; his brothers Frederick A. Ryder of Cresskill N.J., and Reuben Ryder of Cornwall N.Y.; as well as a group of loving and supportive family and close friends. Preceded in death by his father, Frank A. Ryder and his mother, Virginia S. Ryder. Services will be held at St. John's R.C. Church on Friday at 10 AM. Viewing will be at Riewerts Memorial Home in Bergenfield on Thursday from 2 to 4 PM and 7 to 9 PM. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Bergenfield Ambulance Corp. or the Bergenfield Fire Department.
