WERNER, Frederick W., Sr. on October 2, 2008 of River Vale, NJ. Before retiring in 1995 he was a police officer in Bergenfield for 21 years. He was a past delegate, vice president and president of PBA Local #309. He was past vice president and president of the NJ Honor Legion and past president of the Mutual Aid Society of NJ. He was a US Navy veteran. Beloved father of Kristin Kohler and her husband John and Frederick, Jr. and his wife KathyAnn. Loving grandfather of Sean and Brittany Kohler, Veronica and Emily Werner. Funeral service at Riewerts Memorial Home, 187 So. Washington Ave., Bergenfield on Saturday evening at 8:30. Cremation will be private. Visiting Saturday 2-4 and 7-9 PM. Memorial contributions to the Lillian Booth Dialysis Center, RV Difference, Westwood, NJ would be appreciated.
