Genaro J. Fondi, 85, on April 5, 2012 of Bergenfield formerly of New Milford. Born in Jamestown, NY, he was a Sheet Metal Worker for Blickman Health Industries of Fair Lawn. A Navy veteran of WWII, he was a member of Lt. Louis J. Faller Post #4290 V.F.W., New Milford. Devoted husband of the late Katherine A. Fondi. Beloved father of Barbara and her husband Michael and John and his wife Colleen. Dear brother of Louise Terhune, Margaret DeSimone, Jill McKenna, Mary Cherotte, Bruno, Chap and the late Freddy DeSimone. Loving grandfather of Jeremy and his wife Vanessa, Kristen and her husband Nick and Taryn and her girlfriend Valerie and great grandfather of Mia and Ethan. All will gather at Riewerts Memorial Home, 187 So. Washington Ave. Bergenfield on Wednesday at 8:30AM for the Funeral Mass at Church of the Ascension, New Milford at 9:30AM. Interment George Washington Memorial Park, Paramus. Visiting Tuesday 2-4 and 7-9 PM. In lieu of flowers, donations to the American Cancer Society would be appreciated.
