Grace Johannesen

Grace nee Reinertsen Johannesen went to heaven passing peacefully Oct 20. She had been a Naples resident since 2008. Grace was born in Brooklyn, NY in 1918. She married Robert Johannesen in 1941 and lived in Bergenfield, NJ for 54 yrs. where she worked for Parents Magazine. She enjoyed golf, playing scrabble and travelling with her husband and many friends. Grace was predeceased by her husband Robert and son Steven and three sisters, Helen, Ruth and Harriet.She is survived by son James, his wife Michele, and daughter-in-law Kathleen. Grace had 3 grandchildren, Kevin, Danielle Herr and Brian, Kim Joseph and Matt and 6 great grandchildren , Samantha, Megan, Corinne, Shane, Alex and Ophelia. Visiting at Riewerts Memorial Home, 187 So. Washington Ave., Bergenfield on Friday Oct 28th 2-4 and 7-9 PM. Funeral service at the funeral home on Saturday Oct 29th at 10:30 AM. Interment George Washington Memorial Park, Paramus. In lieu of flowers contributions can be made to the American Cancer Society.
