Harriette D. Ridley

RIDLEY, Harriette D. on February 3, 2012 of Bergenfield. She was a graduate of Teaneck High School, Class of 1946 and retired in 1985 as a quality control clerk from Equitable Life Insurance Company, NY, NY where she worked for 40 years. She was past president of the American Legion Ladies Auxiliary Unit 128, Teaneck and a member of the VFW Ladies Auxiliary, Posts 1429 and 6467. She was a member and Elder at Clinton Avenue Reformed Church, Bergenfield. She belonged to the AARP, Teaneck chapter, was a social member of NARFE, Chapter 988, the NJ Retirees Group of Equitable Life, the Bergenfield Republican Club, Friends of the Bergenfield Library, St. John's Golden Age Club and St. John's Seniors Group. She served on the Davis Court Board of Directors and was a former volunteer at Englewood Hospital and Medical Center. Beloved wife of the late Arthur, who died in 1979. Dear sister of the late Leatrice Bowker, Alice Kelter and Gwendolyn Bassett. Also survived by many loving nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews. Funeral service at Riewerts Memorial Home, 187 So. Washington Ave., Bergenfield on Tuesday at 10am. Interment Crest Haven Memorial Park, Clifton. Visiting Monday 2-4 and 7-9pm.
