Steinel, Helen C. (nee Kohberg) on November 3, 2008 of Bergenfield formerly of Ft. Lee. Beloved wife of the late Kenneth (1997), devoted mother of Marcia Sheehan-Palazzo (Ron) of Manchester, NJ, Denise Kreis (George) of Woodcliff Lake, NJ. Grandmother of Kenneth Sheehan and wife MaryAnn, Karen Sheehan, George Kreis IV, Lauren Kreis and adored great grandchildren, William and Emma Sheehan. Predeceased by sisters, Muriel Ackerman and Cecilia DeNaro, brother William Kohberg and son in law James W. Sheehan. Survived by sister Nora Leahy and brother Fred Kohberg, numerous nieces and nephews and many wonderful friends. Before retiring in 1981 she was employed by Lever Brothers for 21 years. She was a member of AARP #1873, Bergenfield, NARFE #988, Teaneck, Amore Chapter OES #1760, Bogota, Past Vice President of Ft. Lee Fire Co. #3 Ladies Auxiliary and Vice President of the 69th Infantry Division, Hattiesburg, MS. Funeral service at Riewerts Memorial Home, 187 So. Washington Ave., Bergenfield on Thursday at 10AM. Entombment Garden of Memories, Twp. Of Washington. Visiting Wednesday 2-4 and 7-9 PM.
