Honey Wada

Honey Wada (nee Toda), 86, on September 19, 2007 of Bergenfield. Born in Fresno, CA, she was a Teacher for Ft. Lee Board of Education retiring in 1991. During her tenure, she was awarded the "Bergen County Teacher of the Year". She was a member of the Board of Trustees of the Japanese-American United Church of New York City. She was also a member of the NJEA. Her family was relocated to the Manzanar Relocation Center in CA during WW II. Beloved wife of the late Mike M. Wada. Devoted mother of Michi M. Wada (and her husband the late Timothy Eyring), Kevin K. (and his wife Joanne) and Gary G. (and his wife Cathy) Wada. Dear sister of Akira and the late Roy Toda. Loving grandmother of Michael F. and Kimberly D. Wada. Funeral service at Riewerts Memorial Home, 187 So. Washington Ave., Bergenfield on Monday at 10:30AM. Cremation will be private. The family will receive friends on Sunday 2-4 & 7-9 PM.
