James F. Oppelt

Oppelt, James F. on April 4, 2004 of Bergenfield, NJ. Beloved husband of Patricia Oppelt (nee: Johnson). Dearest father of Kira and her husband Joseph, Kelly and her husband George and Eric and his wife Kathy. Loving brother of Loretta, William, Edward, Joseph and Robert. Cherished grandfather of Matthew, Brendan, Brittany, Joshua, Travis and Hudson. He is also survived by nineteen nieces and nephews. James was a member of the Bergenfield Volunteer Fire Department and an instructor at the Bergen County Fire Academy. He also played Santa Clause for 20 years at the Junior Women's Club of Bergenfield. Funeral service at Riewerts Memorial Home Inc., 187 So. Washington Ave., Bergenfield, NJ on Wednesday at 10AM. Interment George Washington Memorial Park, Paramus, NJ. The family will receive friends on Tuesday 2-4 and 7-9PM. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the American Diabetes Association, 200 Cottontail Lane, Somerset, NJ 08873.
