Orlando, James J., 80, of Bergenfield entered into eternal rest on May 4, 2013 at Hackensack Medical Center. Jim was born in Hazleton, Pennsylvania, and was a resident of Bergenfield for 50 years, devoted to his family and church. He was a faithful parishioner at St. John the Evangelist R.C. Church in Bergenfield where he was a dedicated Bingo volunteer worker and usher at Sunday Mass. Jim served his country as a Navy veteran, stationed in Japan during the Korean War, and honorably discharged. He is survived by his loving wife of 54 years, Marie, sons John (and wife Edie) and James (and wife Marilyn). He will be missed by his adored granddaughter and best friend Sienna. He was pre-deceased by his parents John and Verna, and sister Eleanor. Visitation hours will be on Monday, May 6, 2013, from 2-4 and 7-9 PM at Riewerts Memorial Home, located at 187 South Washington Avenue, Bergenfield, NJ. Relatives and friends are also kindly invited to gather at the funeral Home at 9 AM on Tuesday, May 7, 2013. A funeral Mass will then be celebrated at 10 AM at St. John the Evangelist R.C. Church in Bergenfield, NJ. Interment will follow the Mass at St. Joseph's Cemetery in Hackensack, NJ. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Bergenfield Friends of Music of the Bergenfield Schools, 80 South Prospect Avenue, Bergenfield, NJ, 07621, would be appreciated.
