Jane DeANGELIS (nee Gillies), 87, of Anderson, SC formerly of Bergenfield, passed away with family by her side on January 8, 2010. She was born in New York, NY on July 21, 1922 the daughter of the late Edward and Daisy Gillies. A graduate of Tenafly High School and Holy Name Hospital School of Nursing, she lived in Bergenfield until moving to Anderson, SC in 1979. She was a member and Past President of the Evening Dept. of the Bergenfield Women's Club and worked at Parents Magazine for many years. Beloved wife of the late John J. DeAngelis. Devoted mother of John M. and his wife Kathy of Anderson, SC, Judy Verga and her husband Joe of Bergenfield and Joyce Rogers and her husband John of Anderson, SC. Dear sister of Bob and his wife Peggy Gillies. Loving grandmother of six and great grandmother of fifteen who all lovingly referred to her as "Great Jane". Also survived by many nieces, nephews and friends. Funeral service at Riewerts Memorial Home, 187 So. Washington Ave., Bergenfield on Monday at 8:30PM. Cremation will be private. Visiting Monday 2-4 and 7-9 PM. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation or Hackensack Hospital Hospice.
