John R. Ives

Ives, John R., 81, on September 23, 2010 of Lakewood, NJ and Daytona Beach, FL formerly of Bergenfield and Harrington Park, NJ. John retired in 1979 as Captain of Detectives of the Bergenfield Police Department and was the President and Founder of Hawk Alarm, Bergenfield. He was a Navy veteran and a member of Bergenfield Elks Lodge #1477, B.P.O.E. Beloved husband of the late Lois Ives (Roache). Devoted step father of William Desposito. Dear brother of Maureen Leggerie and her husband the late Phillip, Jackie Griesi and her husband Jim, Paul K. and Stanley Ives. Cherished grandfather of L.T., Sonny and Kris. He is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews. All will gather at Riewerts Memorial Home, 187 So. Washington Ave. Bergenfield on Tuesday at 9:00 AM for the Funeral Mass at St. John the Evangelist R.C. Church, Bergenfield at 10:00 AM. Entombment Garden of Memories Mausoleum, Washington Township, NJ. Visiting Monday 2-4 and 7-9 PM. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the American Cancer Society or the American Diabetes Association.
