John F. LaMotta, 88, on December 18, 2007 of Bergenfield. Born in New York, NY, he was a Cloth Cutter for Ladies Amalgamated Union Local 10, New York retiring in 1968. An Army Veteran of WWII, he was a life member of American Legion Post 170, Rochelle Park, Bergenfield Memorial Post 6467 V.F.W., Northern Valley Chapter 32 Disabled American Veterans, Bergenfield, a member of St. John's Golden Age Club and was the Grand Marshall of the 2006 Memorial Day Parade in Bergenfield. Beloved wife of 64 years to Angelina LaMotta (nee DiGiacomo). Devoted father of John (and his wife Jovita), Charles (and his wife Barbara) LaMotta and Emily Edson. Dear brother of 2 sisters and one brother. Loving grandfather of 7 and great grandfather of 9. The funeral will leave Riewerts Memorial Home, 187 So. Washington Ave. Bergenfield on Saturday at 9:30AM for the Funeral Liturgy at St. John the Evangelist Church, Bergenfield at 10AM. Entombment Garden of Memories Mausoleum, Twp. of Washington. The family will receive friends Thursday and Friday 2-4 & 7-9 PM.
