John P. Montesano

Montesano, John P., 91, on November 5, 2007, of Dumont, NJ. John was a WW II veteran of the US Army Air Corps, serving in the 8th Air Force, England and 12th Air Force, Africa, Sicily and Italy. He was a member of St. John's Council Knights of Columbus #1345, Gen. George S. Greene Post # 761 V.F.W. Dumont, St. John's Senior Citizens and Bergenfield Chapter AARP. Before retiring in 1976 he was employed by the US Postal Service, No. Bergen for 35 years. He was a parishioner of St. Therese R.C. Church, Cresskill, a former member of St. Rocco R.C. Church, Union City. Predeceased by his parents Pasquale and Philomena, a sister Teresa Soriano and a brother Joseph. Beloved husband of Rose J. Montesano, nee Ricciardi, devoted father of Patrick J., his wife Mary Regina Mannix, and John P. Jr. and his wife Maureen. Dear brother of Rose Lapolla, her husband Phil, and Donate (Jim) and his wife Rose. Loving grandfather of Paul, Anne, Matthew and John Edward. The funeral will leave Riewerts Memorial Home, 187 So. Washington Ave. Bergenfield on Thursday at 10:30 AM for the Funeral Liturgy at St. Therese R.C. Church, Cresskill, at 11 AM. Cremation Laurel Grove Crematory, Totowa, NJ.
