Born in Englewood, NJ, he was a Custodian for the Bergenfield Board of Education and a member, Past President and former Captain of Alert Fire Co. #1 in Bergenfield. Beloved husband of the late Allyne O'Connell. Loving father of Ian O'Connell. All will gather at Riewerts Memorial Home, 187 So. Washington Ave. Bergenfield on Saturday at 9AM for the Funeral Mass at St. Therese R.C. Church, Cresskill at 10AM. Cremation will be private. Visiting Friday 2-4 and 7-9 PM. In lieu of flowers, donations to the American Cancer Society would be appreciated.
