John Stavrou

STAVROU, John - born in Cyprus, he lived in Bergenfield and died Thursday, October 28, 2010. Before retiring he worked for Palace Shoe Repair, Bergenfield. Beloved husband of the late Stella Stavrou. Devoted father of Steve and his wife Maureen. Loving grandfather of Michelle Stavrou and her husband Dennis Geier and Jonathan Stavrou. Dear brother of Despina Hadjichristou and the late Savvas Stavrou, Eleni Hatzikyriakou and Christodolou Stavrou. Also survived by many loving nieces and nephews. The funeral will leave Riewerts Memorial Home, 187 S. Washington Avenue, Bergenfield, Monday at 10:30am for the funeral service at the Greek Orthodox Cathedral of St. John the Theologian, Tenafly, at 11:30am. Interment George Washington Memorial Park, Paramus. Visiting Sunday 2-4 and 7-9pm. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions to the Greek Orthodox Cathedral of St. John the Theologian, Tenafly would be appreciated.
