YURKO, John F., 92, on March 23, 2010 of Bergenfield. Born in Braddock, PA, he was a Tailor for Macy's, Paramus retiring in 1982. He was an Army Veteran of WWII having served in the Pacific Campaign including the Philippines, Guam and New Guinea and was awarded the Asiatic-Pacific Service Medal, the Philippines Liberation Ribbon and the American Service Medal. He was an active member of St. John's Church and a member of St. John's Senior Citizens Club. Beloved husband of Mary B. (nee Sarisky). Devoted father of Mary V. Stanley and John T. Yurko. Loving grandfather of David and Kristin Stanley. All will gather at Riewerts Memorial Home, 187 So. Washington Ave. Bergenfield on Monday at 9AM for the Funeral Mass at St. John the Evangelist R.C. Church, Bergenfield at 10AM. Interment St. Mary's Cemetery, Saddle Brook. Visiting Sunday 4-8 PM. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the General Purpose Fund of the VA New Jersey Health Care System, 385 Tremont Ave., East Orange, NJ 07018-1023.
