John Z. Zakar, 88, on November 1, 2012 of Bergenfield. Born in West New York, NJ, he was a Lithographer for Rae Publishing in Cedar Grove. A Navy veteran of WWII, he was a member and Past Master of Blue Stone Mystic Tie-Malta Doric Lodge #35, Secaucus and a member of the Men's Club of St. Thomas Armenian Church. Devoted husband of Anna Zakar (nee Azarian). Beloved father of Stephanie and her husband Michael Roberge, Donna Zakar and John and his wife Gidget Zakar. Dear brother of Janet Pamboukian. Loving grandfather of Marissa and Zachary Roberge and Jack Zakar. Funeral service at St. Thomas Armenian Church, 174 Essex Dr., Tenafly, NJ on Saturday at 10:30AM. Cremation will be private. Memorial donations may be made to the Myasthenia Gravis Foundation, 355 Lexington Ave, 15th Floor, New York, NY 10017. Arrangements are by Riewerts Memorial Home, Bergenfield.
