John W. Zeppel

John W. Zeppel, 85, a lifelong resident of Bergenfield passed away on January 2, 2016. He was a Scientific Assistant for Lederle Laboratories in Pearl River, NY for 37 yrs. An Air Force Veteran of the Korean War he was a member of the Air Force Band. He was a member of the Bergen Philharmonic Orchestra for 60 years and played with many other organizations. Devoted husband of Betty M. Zeppel (nee Bohlen). Beloved father of Karen M. Cairoli and her husband Thomas and Karl W. Zeppel. Dear brother of the late Nina McManus. Also survived by nieces and nephews. Visiting at Riewerts Memorial Home, 187 So. Washington Ave., Bergenfield on Friday from 2-4 and 7-9 PM. Funeral service at the funeral home on Saturday at 11 AM. Interment George Washington Memorial Park, Paramus. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Bergen Philharmonic Orchestra, Teaneck, NJ 07666
