An Army Veteran of the Vietnam War he was a member of the "Old Guard" at Mt. Meyers, VA, a member of St. John's Council #1345 K of C, Dumont, a former President and Treasurer of the Bergenfield Republican Club, a former member of the Planning Board and a former Cub Scout Leader of St. John's Pack 139. Beloved husband of Joy C. (nee Roemer). Devoted father of Deborah A. Ruby, Joseph M. and Robert A. Dear brother of Barbara Spinelli, Margaret Mendelsohn and the late Peter. Loving grandfather of Anthony and John Ruby, Jenna Lubnewski and step grandchild Shane Callery. The funeral will leave Riewerts Memorial Home, 187 So. Washington Ave. Bergenfield on Monday at 9:30AM for the Funeral Mass at St. John the Evangelist R.C. Church, Bergenfield at 10AM. Interment Geo. Washington Memorial Park, Paramus. Visiting Sunday 2-4 and 7-9 PM.
