ZAKRZEWSKI, Joseph J. age 71 of Whiting died Tuesday May 8, 2007. Born in Jersey City, he lived in Dumont prior to moving to the Crestwood Village 6 section of Whiting in 2001. He received his BS degree from St. Peter's College. He was Vice President of Wells Fargo Bank in NYC before retiring in 1998. He was a U.S. Army Veteran. He was Current President of the Polish American Club of Whiting. Treasurer and President Elect of the Village 6 Residents Club. Lieutenant of Village 6 Safety Patrol. Vice President of the Line Dance Club of Village 6. Past Grand Knight, and former District Deputy of the Knights of Columbus St. Johns Council 1345 in Dumont. He was predeceased by his parents Louis, and Florence Zakrzewski-Zahn, and his son John. Devoted husband of Eleanor Zaluska Zakrzewski for 49 years, Loving father and father in law of Paul and Patricia of Oakland, N.J. and Beloved grandfather to Michael and Victoria. Visitation will be Friday 2-4 and 7-9 PM at Riewerts Memorial Home 187 So. Washington Ave. Bergenfield. Mass will be Saturday 11 AM at St. Mary's R.C. Church in Dumont. Burial to follow at Holy Cross Cemetery in North Arlington.
