Judith Ann Galvach, 79, died peacefully on January 9th, 2021.
Born in Baltimore, she lived in New Jersey for nearly 60 years. She was an accomplished medical proofreader for 25 years before retiring in 2004. The last 10 years of her career were spent at Excerpta Medica in Hillsborough.
She donated to many charities, including Marine Corps Heritage Foundation, Disabled Veterans, Guiding Eyes for the Blind, Boys and Girls Club of America, and Mutts with a Mission to name a few. She also adored cats and loved helping to feed the homeless ones and to get them spayed or neutered. She enjoyed taking care of them and owned many in her lifetime.
She was predeceased by her parents, Eugene and Helen (Wolford) Grossnickle, and her sister Jerie Lyn Gomez. Her beloved husband, James J. Galvach, died peacefully on January 23, 2021.
She is survived by her three daughters from a previous marriage, Karen and Paul Stypa of Petaluma, CA; Jennifer and Frankie Biancorosso of Tuxedo Park, NY; Laura and Eugene Friend of River Vale, NJ; six grandchildren Sarah, Sophie, Samantha, Nicole, Juliana, Ryan; and one great granddaughter Aila.
Cremation was arranged through Riewerts Memorial Home in Bergenfield. Inurnment and entombment with her husband James will be on Saturday, January 30, 2021 at 11:15 am at the Good Shepherd Chapel Mausoleum at St Gertrude Cemetery, Colonia, NJ. A private memorial service will be held at a later date.
