Lawrence Frisby

FRISBY, Lawrence R. 62 entered into eternal rest on February 26, 2012 after a long and courageous battle with multi system atrophy. Larry grew up in Bergenfield and has resided in Dumont for the past 25 years. He is predeceased by his parents John and Margaret. He is survived by his devoted wife of 38 years Eileen (McDuffee), his loving daughter Sarah, brothers John, Bill, Vincent and his wife Rosemary, sisters Eileen, Mary O'Hara and her husband Wayne, brother in law Robert McDuffee, niece Colleen and nephew Sean along with many devoted friends and family. Larry proudly served as an Artic Ranger in the US Army from 1970-1971. He was a retired US Postal Clerk and made lifelong friendships at the Cliffside Park Post Office. He was an active member of St. Mary's RC Church, Dumont, where he served as a lector, taught Religious Ed and was a member of Cornerstone. His Cornerstone brothers have been faithful friends throughout his illness. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus and also a longtime member of the spirit of Christ prayer group where he received much support and prayer and let's not forget he was a Giants fan. The funeral will leave Riewerts Memorial Home, 187 S. Washington Ave. Bergenfield on Wednesday at 9:30am for the Funeral Mass at St. Mary's RC Church, Dumont, at 10. Entombment George Washington Memorial Park, Paramus. Visiting Tuesday 2-4 and 7-9 PM. In lieu of flowers donations in memory of Larry can be made to "21Plus", 252 Washington St., Toms River, NJ 08753 or St. Mary's RC Church, 280 Washington Avenue, Dumont, NJ 07628.
