Leonard Vitale, 76, on January 5, 2013 of Bergenfield. Born in Bronx, NY, he was a Lieutenant for the New York City Fire Dept., Engine 34, Ladder 21 (Hells Kitchen) retiring in 1993. He was an Army Veteran, a member of the Italian American Club of Haverstraw, NY and St. John's Golden Age Club. Devoted husband of Marie A. Vitale (nee Fiorentino). Beloved father of Diane O'Sullivan and her husband Brian, Linda Vitale, Debra Esposito and her husband Frank, Leonard A. Vitale, Jr. and Robert Painchaud and his wife Julie. Dear brother of Camille Guinnan and her husband Kenny, Joseph Vitale and the late Vincent Vitale and his wife Carol. Loving grandfather of Anthony Painchaud, Kyle and Shannon O'Sullivan, Olivia and Nicholas Esposito. Visiting Friday 2-4 and 7-9PM at Riewerts Memorial Home, 187 So. Washington Ave. Bergenfield. All will gather at the funeral home on Saturday at 9AM for the Funeral Mass at St. John the Evangelist R.C. Church, Bergenfield at 10AM. Interment Woodlawn Cemetery, Bronx, NY.
