Salamone, Lorraine (nee:Peters), 84 of Bergenfield, NJ, died Sunday, July 2, 2006 at the home of her granddaughter in DuBois, PA. Born December 24, 1921, in Oklahoma, she was the daughter of Earl and Wilhelmena Peters. She was an Army Veteran of WW II, serving in Warrenton, VA, as a radio operator. This is where she met and married her husband, Charles on July 7, 1945. He preceded her in death in 1996. She is survived by her son Rick and wife Judith Salamone of CO; son David and wife Diane Salamone of NJ; granddaughter Joanne, husband Chris and greatgrandson Andreas Sconzo of PA; grandson Christopher Salamone and fiance Brooke Chettum of NJ; brother LaRoy Peters, sisters Verna Rosebeary and Velma Grose of OK and many cousins, nieces and nephews. She was also preceded in death by sister, Lois Peters and brother LaVerne Peters. Funeral service will be Friday at 10:00am at St. Matthew's Lutheran Church, Bergenfield, NJ. Entombment George Washington Memorial Park, Paramus, NJ. The family will receive friends on Thursday from 2-4 & 7-9 at Riewerts Memorial Home, 187 So. Washington Ave., Bergenfield, NJ. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Lorraine's name to St. Matthew's Church, or to DRMC Hospice, P.O. Box 447, DuBois, PA 15801.
