Mabel I. Prunty

Mabel Isyl (Ike) Prunty (nee Bigelow) age 96 passed on to heaven on June 2, 2008 at Woodcrest Health Care Center in New Milford, NJ. She is survived by one sister Loris (Bigelow) Wood of Plattsburgh. NY. Surviving are her four children, Eleanor May (Prunty) Flynn, Ely of Naples, FL, Howard Frank Prunty of Mesa, AZ. Caryl Ann (Prunty) Winter, Richenburg of Bogota, NJ and Martha Lee (Prunty) Lum of Paterson, NJ. Her thirteen Grandchildren are: Alfred Joseph Flynn of Highland Lakes, NJ, Thomas Michael Flynn of Catawba, NC, Virginia Ann Flynn Sarraf of Broomfield, CO, Martin Daniel Winter and William Mark Winter of Northport. FL, Susan Doreen (Winter) Schilling and John Paul Winter of Bogota, NJ., Gary Michael Lum of Pleasant Hill, CA., Catherine Mary (Lum) Harris of Garfield, NJ., Jennifer Marie Lum of Paterson, NJ. Christine Theresa (Richenburg) Shapteban of N. Plainfield, NJ. Robert Craig Richenburg and James Ryan Richenburg of Bogota, NJ. Her fifteen Great Grandchildren are: Carey Ellen Flynn, Brian Joseph Flynn, Stephen Martin Winter and Thomas Michael Winter of Northport FL, Samantha Marie (Winter) Logsdon of NC., Mark Raymond Sarraf of Scottsdale, AZ., Amy Michelle Sarraf of Broomfield. CO., Jason Thomas Schilling, Debi Ann Schilling, Andrew David Schilling of Bogota. NJ., Jason Michael Lum and Stephen Howard Lum of Paterson, NJ., Kevin Charles Lum and Chloe Elizabeth Lum of Pleasant Hill, CA and Morgan Lea Harris of Garfield, NJ. She also has been blessed with two Great Great Grandchildren. Mabel was fearsomely proud and protective of her children wanting only the best for them and striving to afford them every opportunity to get ahead in life that she could provide forgoing her own needs. Her grandchildren and great grandchildren will always remember the many parties, holiday get togethers and especially the Piñata parties at Easter. She was predeceased by her husband Howard F. Prunty in May 1987 and also predeceased by her parents Myrtle L. Bigelow, Wendell Lansing Bigelow and her four sisters Kathryn E. Bigelow Wilson, Merlyn Genevieve Bigelow Williams, Ethel M. Bigelow Beck and Ruth K. Bigelow Moulton. The funeral service will be at Riewerts Memorial Home, 187 So. Washington Ave, Bergenfield, NJ on Thursday at 10a.m. The family will receive friends on Wednesday from 6:30 until 8:30pm. Private cremation and interment will follow at Glenwood Cemetery Vernon NJ. The family requests in lieu of flowers donations to either the Bergenfield Public Library of the American Cancer Society.
