Mabel Gregory W. Seagrave (nee Weir), 92, of Dumont passed peacefully from our hands to God's hands on November 26, 2007. Born and raised in Brooklyn, NY, she lived in New Hampshire and Massachusetts before moving to Dumont in 1940. She lived briefly in Florida before returning to Dumont in 1991. Greg graduated in 1962 from Farleigh Dickinson University with an Associate Arts Degree and was a registered nurse employed at Englewood Hospital and later by Dr. William Follette of Tenafly. She will be remembered for her active lifestyle in the community. She served as president of the PTA, was a Girl Scout Leader for many years and also president of the Girl Scout Council. She is a 57 year member of Tilden Chapter #59 Order of the Eastern Star, Bergenfield and a member of Clinton Avenue Reformed Church, Bergenfield. Beloved wife of the late Harold A. Seagrave. Devoted and loving mother of Carole Lee Morrison and her late husband, Dr. John A. Morrison of Dumont and Demont W. Seagrave of Jacksonville, Fl. Beloved grandmother of Dr. J. Bradley Morrison and his wife Sally of Bedford, MA, Barbara Lee Grygotis and her husband, Dr. Anthony Grygotis of Haworth, and Betty Lynn Boyd and her husband David H. of Phoenix, AZ, Christopher Seagrave and Kip Seagrave and his family in FL. Very proud and loving great grandmother of Lauren, Kristen and Joseph Grygotis and Christopher, Timothy, and Brian Boyd. Brother of the late John Weir of NY. Family was most important to her as she gave loving care to all. We will miss her. The family will receive friends at Riewerts Memorial Home, 187 So. Washington Ave, Bergenfield on Wednesday and Thursday 2-4 and 7-9PM. Funeral Services at Clinton Avenue Reformed Church, Clinton Ave. and James St., Bergenfield on Friday at 9:30 AM followed by a private cremation. Interment will be at George Washington Memorial Park, Paramus on Saturday at 9:30AM. Tilden Chapter OES service on Thursday at 7:30PM. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations should be made to the New Jersey Eastern Star Home, where Gregory was a resident when she died, c/o Joan Davis, 4 Colonial Ct., Dumont, NJ 07628 with which a special gift for the home will be purchased in her name.
