Marlene M. Canning

CANNING, Marlene M. (nee Guidice) 89 passed away on March 19, 2022 at her home in Dumont, NJ. She was born July 14, 1932 to parents, Conrad and Margaret in Yonkers, NY. Marlene grew up at 60 Post St in Yonkers. She married her grammar school sweetheart, John M. Canning, on August 9, 1953.They moved to Dumont, NJ in 1973 with their 4 children. Marlene worked in Dumont High School for over 25 years   was known by all for her amazing personality. She lived a full life oil painting, bowling and bingo nights; many trips to Atlantic City, adventures with her husband,  quality time with her twin sister, cooking and making memories with her family. Marlene had the ability to make any and everyone smile due to her charm and humor. Survived by Sister, Barbara Viviano, Devoted Son, John J. Canning, Grandchildren, Michele, Robyn, Christopher, Christie, Nicholas. Predeceased by husband John; sons Robert, Clifford;daughter, Maureen.Wednesday March 23 4-8 PM at Riewerts Memorial Home, 187 So. Washington Ave. Bergenfield. All will gather Thursday March 24 at St. Mary’s R.C. Church, 280 Washington Ave Dumont  at 10:45 AM for the Funeral Mass at 11 AM. Interment Mt. Carmel Cemetery, Tenafly.
