Mary DeSteno

Mary DeSteno (nee Rano), 90, of New Milford formerly of Cresskill. Mary passed peacefully in her home with her family with her on January 5, 2013 assisted by Holy Name Home Hospice and her caretakers, Esther and Faith. She worked as a Saleslady most of her life and in later years she was a Lunch Aide for Cresskill Schools. An avid reader, she enjoyed vacationing with her family. Devoted wife of the late Frank DeSteno. Beloved mother of Cosmo and his wife Lidia, Thomas and his wife Joan and Dorothy Karabin and her husband George. Loving grandmother of Jeff and his wife Ann, Alyson and her husband Jeff, Michelle and her husband Joe, Alissa and her husband Jason and Danielle Mary and great grandmother of Joseph, the love of her heart. Dear sister of Corrado and Polly and sister-in-law of Silvana, Ann and Martha. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews. Visiting Tuesday 2:30-8:30PM at Riewerts Memorial Home, 187 So. Washington Ave. Bergenfield. All will gather at the funeral home on Wednesday at 8:30AM for the Funeral Mass at St. Therese R.C. Church, Cresskill at 9:30AM. Entombment at Holy Cross Cemetery, No. Arlington.
