Michael A. Caccavo

September 20, 1925 — March 2, 2007

Caccavo, Michael A., 81, of New Milford, NJ, passed away on Friday, March 2, 2007. He was born in Italy to Biagio and Rose Caccavo and came to America at the age of two. Upon graduation from High School, Mike enlisted in the United States Navy. He served with distinction aboard the USS Anzio in the Pacific Theatre during WW II. After returning home, Michael worked for the US Postal Service as a safety officer in New York City until his retirement, and was a proud member of the VFW, Bronx, NY. He enjoyed visiting with his family in later years and traveling to Europe. Mike will be remembered as a devoted husband of 44 years to his wife Violet. Mike will also be remembered as a loving and caring son, brother and uncle. He is survived and will be missed by brothers Henry, Bob and Arthur. He was predeceased by his sister Rose. Many nephews and nieces will think of Mike's smile, kind words and gentle disposition. Funeral service at Riewerts Memorial Home Inc. 187 So.
