Peter Canino

Peter Canino 66 of Bergenfield passed away October 12, 2018.  Born on May 4, 1952 to Theresa and Victor Canino. A graduate of Seton Hall University he worked as an accountant and auditor before returning to his true love and a successful career as a self-employed carpenter. He was involved in coaching for many years and in his spare time he loved fixing everything and playing with his 7 grandchildren Renae, Theresa, Jillian, Vincent, Sophia, Victor and Raymond. He is remembered for his kindness and caring heart. He is survived by his loving wife of 43 years Rita; his sister Mariann Canino,; cousins Denise Mazziotta, Patti Mastropasqua; his Aunt Rose; sisters in law Phyllis and Janet and many other cousins, nieces and nephews. Loving father of Peter, Paola, Anthony, Jen, Maria, Felicia, Shawn and Francis. Thank you to all his loving friends from the area and Behnke’s Building Supply who gave him such loving support. The funeral will leave Riewerts Memorial Home, 187 S. Washington Avenue, Bergenfield, Thursday morning at 9:30 for the Funeral Mass at St. John the Evangelist RC Church, Bergenfield at 10. Interment Mount Carmel Cemetery, Tenafly. Visiting Wednesday 6-8pm. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Food for the Poor or St. John the Evangelist RC Church.
