Raymond T. Slaman

Raymond T. Slaman, 79, of Dumont passed away on January 18, 2014. Born in Teaneck he was raised in Ridgefield Park. He was a Telephone Lineman for NJ Bell Telephone Co in Hackensack for 39 yrs. Devoted husband of Lucy Slaman (nee Richards). Beloved father of Kathryn Zitelli and her husband Bill, Raymond Slaman, Jr. and his wife Abbie, David Slaman and his wife Joanne and Veronica Lobmeyer and her husband Kurt. Loving grandfather of Selwin, Charles, Dixie Ann, Stefanie, Emily, Jennette, Rebecca and Kendrick and 4 great grandchildren. Dear brother of Lita Post, Robert Slaman, Dolores Cannon and the late Frederick and Charles Slaman and Laurel Andersen. Visiting on Tuesday from 2-4 and 7-9 PM at Riewerts Memorial Home, 187 So. Washington Ave. Bergenfield. All will gather at the funeral home on Wednesday at 9 AM for the Funeral Mass at St. Mary's R.C. Church, Dumont at 10 AM. Cremation will be private. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Feeding America or Fr. Flanagan's Boys Town, 14100 Crawford St., Boys Town, NE 68010.
