Richard L. Marcell

Richard L. Marcell, 77, on June 16, 2009 of Bergenfield. Born in Jersey City, he was the Vice President of Process Management for Scientific Design, New York, NY retiring in 1987. An Army veteran of the Korean War, he was a member and longtime Treasurer of the Bergenfield Optimist Club, the Tenakill Twirlers Square Dance Club, the New York Professional Engineers and the Johns Hopkins Alumni Association. Beloved husband of Joan Marcell (nee Ebert). Devoted father of Nancy J. (and her husband John) McGurty and Kathy J. (and her husband George) Marcell-Columbo. Loving grandfather of Melissa, John, Jr., Eric, Matthew, Briana and Chelsea. The funeral will leave Riewerts Memorial Home, 187 So. Washington Ave. Bergenfield on Saturday at 9AM for the Funeral Mass at Church of the Ascension, New Milford at 9:30AM. Interment Fairview Cemetery, Fairview. Visiting Friday 4-8 PM. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Johns Hopkins University Engineering School.
