Robert Louis Bender, 90, of Haworth died on June 27, 2017. He was retired Collections Manager for Educational Aids Publishing in Carlstadt and a Navy Veteran of WWII. Devoted husband of Martha Bender. Beloved father of Patricia Markley and her husband Henry. Loving grandfather of Kristi Eichler and Justin Markley. Loving uncle of Janine Feibusch and her husband David, JoAnne Vary and her husband Robert, Joseph Khatchatourian and his wife Diane and Aschot Khatchatourian. Visiting at Riewerts Memorial Home, 187 S Washington Ave., Bergenfield on Friday, June 30, 2017 from 2-4 and 7-9 PM with a funeral service at 8:30 PM. Cremation will be private. A lover of animals, memorial donations may be made in his name to the Bergen County Animal Shelter, 100 United Ln, Teterboro, NJ 07608.
