In loving memory of Robert A. Mitchell (May 13, 1948 - August 17, 2023). It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Robert A. Mitchell, a beloved husband, father, and friend. Born on May 13, 1948, in Hoboken, NJ, Robert lived a life filled with motorcycle rides, trips to the shore, starting his own company, music and tending to his property. He peacefully departed this world on August 17, 2023, surrounded by the warmth of his family.

He was a devoted husband to Marilyn Mitchell (Benevento) for 51 wonderful years, setting an example of unwavering commitment and love. As a father, made a great life for his two sons, Jason, and Shaun. His wisdom, guidance, and constant support shaped them into the individuals they are today. He welcomed their spouses, Kamilla and Jordan into the family with open arms, treating them as his own children and nurturing strong bonds of kinship. His legacy extends well beyond his family, touching the lives of all who had the privilege of knowing him in Cresskill and beyond.

In accordance with Robert’s wishes, there will be no formal services or viewing hours. Instead, his memory will be honored privately by those closest to him. Though he is no longer with us in body, his spirit lives on through the memories he created and the love he shared. In this time of grief, may we find solace in the knowledge that Robert Allen Mitchell’s legacy will forever be remembered. He will be deeply missed, and it is the love of this father, and his sons never diminishes it grows and flourishes.
