THOENS, Robert F., 72 on August 19, 2011 of Bergenfield. Born in Jersey City, he was the Head Custodian of the Roy W. Brown Middle School, Bergenfield and a Navy Veteran. Beloved husband of Susan Thoens (nee Mastellone). Devoted father of Donna M. Doheny and her husband Joseph and Bob F. Thoens and his wife Melanie. Dear brother of Kurt and Douglas Thoens, the late Joan Boyle, William, Raymond and Allen Thoens. Loving grandfather of Deanna and Stephanie. All will meet at Riewerts Memorial Home, 187 So. Washington Ave. Bergenfield on Monday at 9AM for the Funeral Mass at St. John the Evangelist R.C. Church, Bergenfield at 10AM. Entombment at George Washington Memorial Park, Paramus. Visiting Sunday 3-7PM. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Multiple Myeloma Research Foundation (www.themmrf.org).
