Robert Clyde Wills, 77, a resident of Dumont, NJ, passed away on April 22 due to complications with his Parkinson's disease. He was born in Hackensack to the late Elsie Wills and Herman Schneider. He graduated from Hackensack High School and Highlands University, NM. Bob proudly served in the Vietnam War as a member of the United States Army. He went on to start his own business that reflected his passion for Native American culture, arts and crafts as well as his artistic ability. His work was widely respected and featured in films, museums and television shows. Bob was a lover of history and was very involved with the NJ Militia Heard’s Brigade, a Revolutionary War reenactment group. He shared this love of history with many of the classes and scouting troops of his children and grandchildren. He is survived by his wife of 43 years, Catherine (Pruzinsky) Wills, his 2 children, daughter Rebecca Kessler (Timothy) of Avon, CT and son Adam (Nicole) Wills of Bishop, CA. He is also survived by his 4 grandchildren: Andrew Kessler (14), Elizabeth Kessler (11), Michael Kessler (6) and Clyde Wills (8 weeks). He will be remembered as an eccentric, loving and supportive husband, father, grandfather and friend.
Viewing will take place Wednesday, April 26 from 4-7 pm at Riewerts Memorial Home, 187 South Washington Ave., Bergenfield. Funeral service will be held at the South Presbyterian Church, 150 West Church Street, Bergenfield on Thursday, April 27 at 10 am. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to The Parkinson's Foundation.
