Rocco T. Gerace

Rocco T. "Rocky," Gerace, 89, of Bergenfield, passed away on May 4, 2010. Born in Buffalo, NY, he was the son of the late Anthony and Frances Gerace. An Army veteran of World War II, he was a pipefitter for the NY Central Railroad for over 39 years, a parishioner of St. John's RC Church, the Bergenfield Senior Citizens Club and was a member of the St. John's Council #1345 K of C, Dumont. Beloved husband of the late Anne R. Gerace. Devoted brother of Mary and her husband, Tony Tobia. Also survived by many loving nieces/nephews, grandnieces/nephews, and cousins. He will be remembered for his kindness, sense of humor, and warmth. Rocky loved to tell stories and had a strong passion for life. He and his late wife Anne enjoyed retirement, travel, and friends. All will gather at Riewerts Memorial Home, 187 So. Washington Ave. Bergenfield on Friday at 9AM for the Funeral Mass at St. John the Evangelist R.C. Church, Bergenfield at 10AM. Entombment Garden of Memories, Twp. of Washington. Visiting Thursday 2-4 and 7-9 PM. Memorial donations may be made to St. John's Council #1345 K of C, Box 211, Dumont, NJ 07628.
